Here are the plugins I used for my ViM presentation. I'll let some of
the ViM as an IDE proponents post the other available plugins.

Improved python indentation:

Taglist (ctag browser in the sidebar):

Python Menus (not demonstrated):

For VCS integration (also not demonstrated):
- vcscommand (cvs/svn/svk/git) http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=90
- vcsnursery (hg/sccs backends for vcscommand) http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1898

Omnicompletion and jumping to and from tags are built-in.

That should be http://vim-taglist.sf.net/
