Hi everyone,
I currently have my 3 Lotuses for sale (plus an Acura RL, but that's boring). I'm a little anxious to get them sold, so I'm willing to negotiate on price. If anybody knows someone interested, have them email me at
je...@utahlotusclub.com or call at
801-706-0143. Below is information about the 3 cars.
2006 Lotus Elise, Supercharged, $36,500
Clean, great condition, VERY fast
1991 Lotus Elan, Turbo, $10,500
Good condition for the age, reliable, economical
1970 Lotus Elan +2, New Engine, $10,000
Just finished a fresh engine rebuild, not even 200 miles on it yet. The car is very close to original, and the non-original items on the car (alternator conversion from generator, solid rear drive shafts) can be replaced to original if you want - I still have the parts. Original paint, chassis, body, seats, carpet, wheels, toolkit in the trunk, etc. The factory radio is missing. I also have a pile of magazines from the original owner when he was researching the car. I have the original Florida title (yes, original, not a copy) from 1970 when it was purchased. I also have the original bill of sale (not a copy) from England when the previous owner flew over and bought it at Lotus. It's even in the old pounds/shillings/pence amount. The interior carpet is pretty ragged, but seats are in fairly good condition. The body has the typical spider lines in the fiberglass of the era. It looks great from 5 feet away, but when you get close the cracks are more obvious. Most of the electrics work at least sometimes, but they randomly decide to not work. I'm sure it's a grounding issue somewhere, but I haven't tracked it down yet. The dual carburetors would benefit from being adjusted - they smell a bit rich - but I don't have the skill to do it accurately. The headlight vacuum system does not seem to work. I have replaced some of the lines, the dashboard switch/valve, and some connectors, but it still doesn't pull the lights down. I don't drive the car at night, so I currently just have the springs detatched so the headlights are down. The value in this car is its originality. For a 40 year old unrestored car, I would say it's quite impressive. Certainly far from perfect, but is very fun to drive.

And if there's any interest, my Acura is a 2005 RL, about 60k miles, great condition.
