Hey - New to this group. I wanted to invite any and all to come to
the downtown Farmer's Market in Salt Lake City on Saturday. I try to
make it about twice a month. I will be there this Saturday the 19th
from 8 to 10ish am. I like to play over by the farmers but may also
explore the central square also.

I have a small play list and don't make much $, but that's not what it
is about for me. I enjoy the atmosphere, people watching and the
performing. What can I say, I'm a ham. I also have a great time
practicing and trying to up the performance level.

If anyone wants to say Hi, please do. If you want to join in and jam
let's do it!

My current play list is -

Day Dream Believer
Dream a Little Dream
Satin Doll
Girl from Ipanema
Ain't She Sweet
Yes Sir, That's my Baby
Papermoon
Five Foot Two
Don't Fence Me In
King of the Road
Back in the Saddle
Blue Moon
The Monkey and the Engineer
Hukilau
Lovely Hula Hands
Jamaica Farwell
Give My Regards to Broadway

Plus a couple of others, mostly instrumental and/or original (not me,
not yet)

If you'd like to join in and want to study up I can give you the
source material, or the key each song is in so you can come prepared.
I tune in C6. I would say that I am an enthusiastic, intermediate
player. I want to play with more skilled players; I've found that it
is great for pushing and learning new skills.

You do need to register with the Market as an "Official Busker" but
that should take about five minutes.

Looking forward to seeing any and all.

If you have a link to the source material that can be posted here, put
it on the media page. My wife and I like to take the kids down there
so I may be able to make it. I am going to post this on the
activities page also. Good to have you.

Many of the songs can be found (of course) in the Jumping Jim books,
such as -

Day Dream Believer
Dream a Little Dream
Girl from Ipanema
Ain't She Sweet
Yes Sir, That's my Baby
Papermoon
Five Foot Two
Don't Fence Me In
King of the Road
Back in the Saddle
Blue Moon
Hukilau
Lovely Hula Hands
Jamaica Farwell
Give My Regards to Broadway

I don't have links to the rest, they probably came from Chordie or
Alligator Boogaloo.

Where is the farmer's market and how do you register to play?
I am probably intermediate in skill, I have played some of the songs on your list but i don't have them memorized.

You registar with the Farmer's Market information booth near the
intersection of the food stalls and the farmer's area on the north
side of the park, 300 North. It costs nothing.
