to Utah Ukes
Well the size of the group has tripled in the past couple of days. I
just want to say welcome to both of you and thanks for joining.
Hopefully more will join soon.

OK so now that the group has members, what would you all like to get
from this group? I envision some jam sessions and some good sharing
of skills from more advanced players. I also think that it will be a
good place to meet new people through activities. My first thought
was of a campfire. I know it is freezing outside right now, but maybe
early spring if enough people want to we can get something going.

On the online side I would like to see tabs, links to videos, personal
experiences, ukulele reviews, and anything else related to the
ukulele. Things like traditional Hawaiian songs and culture would be
interesting to see also. Just anything that can make the experience
more full and might give someone like myself some more insight into
this stuff.

So if you have a minute take some time to introduce yourself and
include things like how long you have been playing, what ukulele(s)
you play and which one(s) you like best. I made a page for the
ukulele that I just got and put some of the initial impressions of
it's playability up on it. My intention here wasn't to brag, "Hey
look at what I got!" but was to give others some sort of a review
about it and to bring up any issues so that others that may know more
about these things can give suggestions about correcting things. So
it would also be good if we all could do this for instruments that
we've played to make it easier for someone to make an informed
decision about them. I now I am already looking at getting a baritone
uke or maybe one of these banjolele's I have been reading about.

Oh yeah... Happy New Year
