Gnarly Nebo 100k, June 7, 8AM start, Payson

Our next ride will be the Gnarly Nebo Populaire 100k, Saturday June 7, meeting at 7:30AM for a prompt 8:00AM start, starting at the Smiths in Payson. If you've never ridden Nebo Loop, this is your chance to experience this amazing climb and beautiful scenery!

This route is unchanged from previous years, and has not been pre-ridden, so riders may need to adjust if there is any construction along the course.

I try to do that loop once a season. Love it. But I am working this weekend. Would consider doing it later in the year. It is also a permanent. 

If you want even more climbing (over 8,000 ft) in just under a 100 miles, check out this permanent in my backyard on the Skyline Drive. If anyone wants to make the drive, let me know, I'll try to join you.

Hi Ken and other Gnarly Nebo riders:

Taylor G and I will be coming down on Saturday and hoping to hook up with y'all.

We are going to do a slightly different loop, more miles (112) and less carbon footprint using Frontrunner rather than driving down to Payson with a start/finish at the Provo Frontrunner Station.  

We will ride the first southbound train of the day, leaves N. Temple Station at 6:03, we will board at SoJo Station at 6:26.  Arrives Provo 7:10 and we will begin riding from there.  That puts us into Payson around 8:10 so unfortunately we will miss the meetup and departure from Smith's at 0800.  Guessing we will meet up somewhere along the climb of Payson Canyon.

We will be riding the Goshen Canyon route northbound rather than the I-15 frontage roads.  Please find the gpx file for the route attached.  It's a great loop!

Any and all welcome to join us, just hop on that first train at your closest stop.
