Willard Bay 100/200/300k 4/25
Please join Salt Lake Randonneurs for the Willard Bay 100/200/300k brevet series, on Saturday April 25.

Sign in starts at 6:00AM for a prompt 6:30AM start at Dicks Market at 84W Parrish Lane in Centerville. Please note the start location has changed; we will be across the street to the north of Walmart (our usual start), to simplify start/finish routing, and allow after-ride recovery milkshakes at Tonyburger. Please park to the north of the Little Caesars.
The early start will allow the 100k and 200k riders to enjoy an early morning randonneuring experience, while still allowing some of the 300k riders to finish before dark.

It's not too late to join, please register here:
https://www.saltlakerandos.org/registration/

If you have not already submitted an electronic waiver, please do:
https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/v/rusaUTSaltLakeCity

A unique waiver is required for each ride, so if you have not filled one out for this ride, please do so now.

This is a beginner-friendly route with very little climbing, scenic rural roads, easy re-supply, and easy bailout points using Frontrunner. The time limit for the 300k is 2:30AM early Sunday morning, and lights, a reflective vest, and 2 reflective ankle bands are required per https://rusa.org/reflectivity
Night riding gear is not required for the 100k & 200k riders.

For electronic brevet verification, please email me your GPS track after the ride, or join our 2026 Strava club if you use that app, and I will see your results there.

Because most people have switched to electronic GPS navigation, I will no longer be providing paper cue sheets & brevet cards, so please print out your own cards (attached) if needed.

I've attached brevet cards and cue sheets for all 3 distances, and also a Food Cue Sheet to help us out with food planning for the 300k.

Hi, I registered for the Willard Bay 300k on April 25th and filled out the waiver. It's my first brevet in Utah.

I'm unclear on how the controls work. I will be using the cue sheets. Is there actually someone at each control to stamp my card? If not please let me know how to do the controls (e.g. fill them out myself on honor system, take selfies at each one & send them in, etc.)

Thanks!

I'll talk you thru it at the start, but the usual method is to get a receipt at each control. The controls are well spaced to coincide with it's-time-to-eat-again-o'clock, so we'd usually be buying food at the controls anyway.
I always keep my brevet card in a ziplock, and collect the receipts in there, and then the RBA (me) will collect your brevet card + receipts at the end.

Ken, I noticed an error for the mileage listed on the classic century distance. The metric distance is fine but the decimal point is one place off for the mile distance.
I have something planned for that morning, otherwise I would attempt to join you all. Should be a good day for it! -Pete
