Thanks Amy and Steve for pre-riding our 600k this past weekend. They have found a few construction spots that have been updated in our routes, but also they have found issues with water re-supply.
The water at the City Park in Lynndyl is shut off, and they were not able to find water elsewhere. That would have put the water gap on the 300k at 70 miles, which is too far for 90 degree weather, so I have changed the 300k to route around West Mtn, similar to the 400k. This puts the water gap from Eureka to Nephi at 45 miles which is more reasonable.
The 400k & 600k riders will still need to plan for riding from Eureka to Delta (50 miles) with no water resupply.

The water at the City Park in Oak City is also shut off, and they were able to find water in the sink in the bathroom at the Fire Station in Oak City, 53 W Center St, on the south side of the park.

For 300k & 400k riders, the distance between Nephi and Payson is 55 miles, and there are two resupply points in between: Ryder's Gas Station in Goshen (1 block west off-route), and the Campground at Lincoln Beach.

Ken,

Rather than making a detour at mile 177 (for the 300K route), make a detour OFF off of the dreaded Geneva road near the Orem Temple. Want me to save a version and show you?

Best,
Richard

Or if it is all the same to you....I will make the detour  on my route only, as long as I keep my distance to at least 300km.

The road (250 W) is closed at mile 177, that's a construction detour.

I see. I am still overreacting about the Geneva Road part. Didn't the old Backroads routes go through Vernon and up to Eureka? That route is not viable?

Here's the last time I rode this 600k in 2018, the route matches other than the road construction detours.

But yes, any detour around Geneva Rd is fine if you're not comfortable riding that section.
