Update on our July 100k

Friday July 11, 2025 7:00PM Night Start, route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51406830

Because the Airport bike path closes at 10PM, the route has shifted to start in Bountiful so that riders will have plenty of time to get thru the airport before closure. Meet at Bountiful City Park, 100W 400N, at 6:30 for a 7:00PM start. Park in the south lot just east of the pavilion. Time limit for this route is 7:04, or 2:04 AM Saturday morning. Night riding gear is required for this ride, including reflective vest, ankle bands, headlight, and a tail light.

Ken,

I hope to do this ride. I'm also trying to do RUSA's P-12. This doesn't appear to be one of the routes on their list; is that correct? That will help me plan accordingly.

West Salt Lake 100 is a RUSA Populaire route, but it has not been approved as a Permanent route, so that can be confusing. Both Populaires and Perms count towards the P12 award, so this ride would count for July.
If somebody wanted to ride this route as a perm, it would need to be submitted to be approved as a perm and then it would be available for anybody to ride at any time (which would be a great idea since it is so centrally located).

Ken
Is it correct that to “capture” this populaire  to count towards our monthly P12 we just need to register/sign waiver as usual & it will automatically count. I do see my previous populaire listed in my rides on the RUSA site.

The RUSA site does not allow me to use the populaire# to “register for a permanent” like I do when pre-registering for permanent rides.

Thanks!
PS I signed a new waiver!

Yes Martie, for any calendared event (brevet or populaire), the RBA takes care of the e-paperwork, so after the July 11 ride I will verify everybody's ride and upload their finish times to RUSA and you will be able to view the results after a couple of days.

This is a different process from a perm, where each individual rider is responsible for uploading their results to RUSA.

For the P12 award, both calendared populaires and perms count towards the award, so the July 11 ride will take care of July for anybody trying to get their P12 award.
