16 Games in 12 Days!
With less than two weeks to go until the deadline, we thought
we'd just send you a reminder that the Developer Challenge is
still up and running and we'd love to see your games up on the
site.
We're currently at 84/100 games, meaning we need 16 games over
the next couple of weeks which is well within your reach. It
would be a shame to miss it by just a couple of games so make
sure you get yours onto the site in time!
A few things to bear in mind:
* Yes, game jam games are more than welcome on the site. Game
jams are fantastic for demonstrating the breadth of indie
games so no matter how small your game is, we'd love to see
it up on IndieCity!
* It's better to submit earlier than later, because there is
no way of telling how long the CAP system will take, and
it's always possible that our testers will find a major
problem which you haven't encountered, so it's better to be
safe than sorry!
* Speaking of bugs, if you have a minor bug which happens in a
minority of cases and isn't game-breaking, it's better to
submit your game through CAP and then uploaded an updated
version with fixes, than spend a while fixing it and miss
the deadline.
* If your game is 101st on the Store, yes, you will still get
the increased revenue (this goes for numbers higher than
that as well, the important thing is that if you submit but
don't get into the first 100, you'll still get the
benefits!).
We also have the Games 51-75 video up, so you can check out the
games currently on IndieCity! (If you missed the first two
videos, here's the first 25 games , and here's games 26-50.)
If you get stuck at any point, please let us know! You can
contact us by email, IRC (#indiecity on irc.freenode.net), or
the forum.
