Hey Indies,

My apologies that we haven't had an Indie Game Night in a while. Life has gotten in the way a little this past several months, however I'm back in the saddle again and committed to getting these going again. So with that being said, its time once again to announce another Utah Indie Games Night. It will be held on Wednesday, February 5th at 7pm at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo. Again, big thanks to them for hosting this event.

We'll be meeting in Room 3108 of the Jesse Knight building. (Please note this is a different room and building than when we were at BYU last. However it's the building right next to the Talmage building) You can find the building and nearby parking on BYU's map site at http://maps.byu.edu/. Once there click on Parking and it will highlight all the lots. The two blue lots marked Lot 16A may be your best bets to find parking. They should be free to park in after 6 pm. Just pay attention to the signs for any exceptions as there are some spots that are always off limits.

The format will be the usual informal get together to chat, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project and get feedback, etc.

We'll start the evening off with a formal presentation, and then we'll break out into smaller groups out in the foyer for some game demos. If you have a demo to show, please let me know beforehand, so we can plan on it better. Also, if you have any other questions, suggestions, announcements, or something you think that would benefit the group, please let me know. This is shaping up to be another outstanding and enjoyable night for everyone. I hope to see everyone there!

In other news, Adam Valentine has volunteered to be our website and newsletter Sherpa. He has redesigned our logo and has created a website which we'll be updating with relevant info over time. So you should see more info coming from us in the coming days. Big thanks goes out to him!

The format will be the usual informal get together to chat, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project and get feedback, etc.

We'll start the evening off with a short presentation by me on the Benefits of Game Jams. Then we'll break out into smaller groups out in the foyer for some game demos. Also, if you have any other questions, suggestions, announcements, or something you think that would benefit the group, please let me know. This should be another awesome and enjoyable night for everyone. I hope to see everyone there!

Sincerely,

Greg Squire

P.S. I'm looking for speakers to speak at our future events, so if you have something you'd like to share with the group, please contact me. Thanks!

Also Addy Valentine has volunteered to be our website and newsletter Sherpa. He has redesigned our logo and has created a website which we'll be updating with relevant info over time. So you should see more info coming from us in the coming days. Big thanks goes out to him!
