Hey y'all!

Fyrecon is June 20-22nd, and there WILL be a game development track, in addition to tracks on writing, business, and art. It's local, taking place in the Layton campus of Weber State University, and it's CHEAP.  Until midnight tonight, you can still get the early bird discount, all three days for only $40 (not including Master Classes).

Prices go up tomorrow, but will still be cheap. You can register at:

I'm hoping we can get a good turnout on the game development track, so we can expand things next year. Regardless, it should be a valuable experience. Also, if you are interested in other creative pursuits, there will be lots of other classes throughout the weekend that you may find valuable, as well as opportunities to pitch novels to agents, etc.  Last year we also had the Artemis simulator going the whole weekend with sign-ups for playing in teams for that. It was a lot of fun.

I just found out that I will be doing a two-hour workshop on "How to build a computer RPG in a week" (an update of an article I did about a decade-and-a-half ago), a class on using Virtual Reality in fiction, and a class on integrating stories with gameplay.

See ya later!
