Alfresco folder limit

Hi,
Here are BYU we are trying to do some stress test but we have
noticed that when we upload more than 4991 files into one folder that
the folder will no longer show any more files. Does anyone know why
this is happening or what we can do to fix it? I am aware we can
create more folders and put the files in different places but we would
like to put more than 5000 files into one folder.

We have had the same issue. In 3.4 it seemed to be a problem around 1000. In 4.0 in is just over 5000. To date we have not found a way around it.

Try changing system.filefolderservice.defaultListMaxResults (default is 5000)  found in repository.properties….but should be changed in alfresco-global.properties
