Position: HealthCare Billing Manager
Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah 84111
Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Billing Manager is responsible for delivery and oversight of daily processes required to maintain daily medical billing for 15 family practice clinics in Utah and Arizona while providing excellent customer service to our patients. This position supervises and motivates members of the billing team.
Responsibilities includes verifying and recording all patient and insurance deposits, charges, CPT and diagnosis codes, claims and processing, reconciliation of the monthly lab invoice, set-up and maintain new provider/clinics within the EMR, panel and credential providers with appropriate insurance companies and hospitals, weekly utilization reporting, monthly reporting to all clients including utilization, charges and revenue, e-Clinical Works record reconciliation and month end transfers, process patient refunds, Identify opportunities for process improvement, handling situations related to patient customer service that have escalated beyond the role of billing specialist, supervise, train and develop billing staff.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. CPC or CCS-P certification is preferred.
Medical Terminology certification "CMA" preferred.
2 years of direct medical insurance and billing experience required.
Prior team-lead/supervisory experience preferred.
Must have experience with electronic medical records, preferably e-Clinical Works.
Strong knowledge of health plan collection, EOBs, ICD-9, CPT coding, EXCEL, Word, EMR Systems (preferably e-Clinical Works), customer service, exceptional communication skills, and good organizational skills.
