TECO TECHNOLOGY AWARD - Principles and Application

PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATION
This award is established by TECO TECHNOLOGY FOUNDATION for the purpose of
raising social awareness to promote technical innovation, rewarding outstanding technical
individuals who had contributed in the relative fields of ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL,
COMPUTERS & COMMUNICATIONS, stimulating domestic technology advancement and jointly
creating a visionary and progressive society.
I. QUALIFICATION
Citizen of the Republic of China, regardless of sex and age, in applying for technology
domestically in the relative fields of Electrical, Mechanical, Computers & Communications, having
domestic substantive and outstanding contribution, innovation or achievement.
II. NUMBER AND AMOUNT OF AWARD
1. Number: One award each annually in Electrical, Mechanical, Computers &
Communications. (No award if none is selected.)
2. Amount: NT$ 500,000 for each award
III. AWARD
One gold medal and the award money will be awarded.
IV. LIMITATION
This award is limited to those who had not received similar award for the same innovation
or accomplishment. (The limitation does not apply to those whose previous award amount is less
than 10% of this award.)
V. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Time: Application is accepted annually between June 1st and August 15th.
2. Procedure: a. Request for an application form can be directed to Teco Technology
Foundation, with a stamped return envelope.
b. Application form, along with required documentation,
should be mailed to:

3. Documents: Please complete the recommendation form available from this Foundation.
a. Detail resume in Chinese
b. Description of the substantive and outstanding innovation or achievement.
c. Please attach a recommendation letter from the applicant's organization
or signed by two recommenders.
d. The above documents will not be returned to the applicant.
VI. SELECTION PROCESS
The award selection committee is formed by invitation to professionals and academia by
the Foundation two months prior to the award ceremony. The selection process will then proceed.
The result is then submitted to the Board of Directors for approval and announcement.
VII. AWARD CEREMONY
Award ceremony will be conducted publicly in October of each year. Awardees and
related information will be forwarded to domestic media for publication.
VIII. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
The Foundation reserves the right to republish awarded thesis and papers as well as to
publish any related articles.
