The U.S. is probably the strongest country in the world, that doesn't bring safety to Americans in the Mideast.
The foundation of Israel doesn't solve the problems of Jews around the Globe. What protects them in this country is their active participation of politics, media and education.
The tragedy in Indonesia put in shame those wealthy Chinese families there who have close ties with the Suharto government, who reap tremendous economic gains, and who have failed to participate in state affairs to help rid hatred and to secure the safety of fellow ethnic Chinese.
: Otherwise, please, be silent and don't send these useless chain letters

These "useless chain letters" bring awareness and call for unified stand and voice. We, the overseas Chinese, have to support each other and fight for ourselves whenever we are discriminated as an ethnic group.
Wherever we are, we are Chinese. That's why the news touches so many hearts, that's why the crimes outrage us, that's why we care.
Sadly, what we can do is very limited this time for those living in a remote island. The lesson is, we have to look beyond our own yards, join the society, participate in the government, be politically strong in addition to economically successful. And we have to do it right where we live. That's the lesson the Jewish people learned after the Holocaust. That's the lesson we need to learn.
May we all have a better future.

BTW, without discounting the humor value, it's something we shouldn't practise. Otherwise, we are no better than the monkeys in Africa. The human race would never have evolved without group cooperation in ancient defense.
