MRP meeting - 21st Sept, 2010, 3.30 - 4.30 pm @ ACE 5.116 (Reminder)

Hi everyone,

This is a reminder for the first MRP meeting of this semester. We will
meet on 21st Sept from 3.30 - 4.30 pm in ACE 5.116. Doo Soon will give
a talk on the work he did during his summer internship at IBM. Here is
a summary of the talk:

Prismatic is a large-scale knowledge source developed by IBM that
contains a huge number of syntactic-frames extracted from large
corpora. During my internship at IBM, I developed ways of using
Prismatic in a machine reading system. In the presentation, I will
introduce our packed representation which allows the system to defer
commitment to an interpretation. Then, I will present how we used
Prismatic to help the system commit to an interpretation among the
candidates in our packed representation. Finally, I will present our
plan to evaluate our approach using OntoNotes 2.0
