Hi all,
can someone help me with the buffer display.  I have some sweet buffering going on, but isnt one outlined buffer around the roads.  it is more like each road segment got it's own buffer.  the result is lots of circles.  I'll reply to this email with a picture in a minute.  My question is, how to simplify the buffer drawing and get rid of the extra lines?

Hi Bryan,
You can either run the "dissolve" tool to "merge" these into one feature OR just rerun the buffer tool and choose to dissolve "ALL" when setting up the parameters.

you can merge all of your roads to one line and then buffer it.

Or just merge all your buffer polygons into one. Then you don't have to redo your buffer. Just click edit, select all in the attributes for your buffer and then select merge in the edit drop down.
