Updated: Reshma ji passed away on 3 November 2013 after a prolonged battle with throat cancer. I was mesmerized by her singing many times in my life and since this post was written, I considered myself her friend, too. So, her passing is more than just another blip in the information overload. Reshma ji, aap ne hamein chori chori jeet liya. Khuda Hafiz (May the Lord be your Shepherd).

Several website developers have actually made totally free deer
hunter video games fairly test, intricate simulations that are really quite advanced.
Numerous deer hunter video games you bet free of cost can supply a number of levels of play, in various difficult atmospheres that
give a really gratifying video gaming experience
without setting you back anything.
I thought the performances were quite strong. Akshaye Khanna hands in an understated and quite mature performance, and although I found his character very annoying in some parts of the film, I think Akshaye handled him quite well. He lets you see the courage, strength and confidence of the character, although some of that I felt was a bit questionable. He is also quite sweet in some scenes, especially with Ash.
Hey Sunrise... I liked Salman a lot in HAHK (first film I saw him in too), I thought he was sweet, but then I saw some of his other flicks (ironically PKTDK was one of them) and got really turned off... looks like I'm starting to like him again LOL.
Yes Ash looks gorgeous in 'Taal', especially the first half of the movie.
We watched Taal a couple years back. A lady at a video store in Vancouver BC said we have to see it and it has the greatest songs. The movie was good and the songs OK, but not quite as great as the lady claimed. It's all personal taste anyway. The song we really liked was "Ramta Jogi". To our Enlish thinking minds the words phonetically sounded like "I love my doggie, hoy hoy hoy..." We found this to be rather amusing amongst ourselves.
Taal - loved the songs and Anil Kapoor's acting. He really is one of my favorite actors but never was able to live up to being the 2nd coming of Amitabh that he was when he first started out. Ash (stripped down) is much better I am in full agreement - otherwise she plays the same darn role in every movie.
Chori Chori - I was so excited when I saw you had reviewed this one but came back down to earth when I realized it was NOT the Raj Kapoor/Nargis classic ;) You must see this gem of a movie for so many reasons - the last on screen pairing for these legends, fantastic songs, great story (remake of 'It Happened One Night'). Never saw the one you reviewed but I promise this one is as good as the new one is bad. Cheers!
Oh, I'm a bit jealous, so many movies ... I miss the cinema in Nottingham *sigh*
Aishwarya looks beautiful, especially in the first few pictures. I prefer the natural look to the heaps of makeup they slap on her sometimes.
Good to know that Chori Chori (this newer one) isn't really worth looking for, I didn't know anything about it before but I probably would have wanted to see it based on the actors who are in it ... Always on the lookout for more Ajay, I haven't seen very much of him so far!
I love this blog, cant contibute but when Im able to not be guilt ridden from not studying I will have to have a bollywood weekend or two and check out your recs. Great reviews; very detailed so I know what I will probably not bother with.
@nanya: A Bollywood weekend or two is always a good thing... I always think the world looks a little brighter after a couple of (good) Bollywood movies. How is the studying going, dear? Hope good. Take care and enjoy the weekend... oops just realised I haven't told you something - will email you about it in a jiff.
@miss opeke: MY DEAR OPEKE!! Ahn ahn, I have missed you 'three' much - how have you been??!! I am so excited to see a comment from you after so long. Wow! Anyway, I'm glad I reviewed a film you love - I'm not sure why I said I might not watch it again, cos I actually really liked it. Abeg opeke no fly away again o... at least for a while!
Hi Daddy's girl,
Wow, I appreciated that expostulation about Salman at the end... Very nice! He isn't SUCH a bad actor, indeed. If he would just keep his shirt on, one would actually forgive him nearly everything.
Yeah, Chori chori wasn't really worth much, apart from Rani's dynamism maybe.
Taal: well, true, Ash is ab fab in that movie, but I was a little put off by how fast she changes in the 2nd half and integrates the codes of professional show-business. After all, not long before, she's supposed to be a untainted village girl! It isn't very credible, and is I think a mistake in the story.
Thanks again for your nice blog,
cheers, yves
@yves: Thanks so much for stopping by and for the comment - I often visit your blog - great job you're doing there.
I love your comment about Sallu - can I quote it (will give you full credit, of course!)? I am really warming to him these days, so much so that it's shocking to me!
And that's a very very interesting point about Ash in 'Taal'. I think that may actually have been part of the reason I was so disenchanted and unimpressed with her in the second half of the film...
