July 17-18, Wild Harbor YC
RECAP
Highlights:
Fourteen teams (the most ever), sunshine, a gorgeous seabreeze that ramped up to the high-teens both days, fun waves, 140 races, and 7-layer bars.
Lowlights:
Erik Storck's attire in the RR race between the Tannery Loungers and Tall Boyz (see attached), the pain most of us felt in our legs by the end of Sunday, several extremely stretched-out shirts from Saturday evening, and a run-in or two with the infamous Wild Harbor rocks.
Thank you to everyone for coming to Wild Harbor and making this such a fun and successful event. A huge thanks to our PRO Danny Rabin for firing off all the races, to Pete Wisotzkey, Richard Watson, and Rick Flynn for setting the marks and saving rig-less boats, to Caitlin Watson and Katie Mahoney for holding down the fort on the finish boat, and to Lindsay Watson, Marie Buckley, and Andrea Flynn for all the baked goods. Also, thank you's to Joel Hanneman, RITRA, and Peter Johns for helping WHYC plan for the event.
RESULTS
(A complete round robin was completed on Saturday. On Sunday the fleet was split into a Gold of 8 and a Silver of 6 and, ultimately, a Final Four. Unfortunately results vanished into the WHYC abyss so we only have results for the top 7 teams -- everyone else is listed alphabetically by team name below.)
