Brother PE Design 6.0 Embroidery Software Without Need For Dongl Full VersionDOWNLOAD ---> =https%3A%2F%2Ftiurll.com%2F2u4Nxe&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AOvVaw0_0UaX2fdPsAyNPAsG1cVNYou need embroidery software for everything from editing and customizing designs to creating your own embroidery designs, which is called digitizing. The exact type of software you need, though, depends on your embroidery design aspirations. With auto-digitizing embroidery design software, you upload an image file (ex: .jpg. .bmp, or .png) or vector file (ex: .svg) from your computer. With minimal user input, the software generates an embroidery design.Aly,This was the most comprehensive review and help I have found online. I am new to machine embroidery and loving it so far but need some software. Thank you for taking the time to write this and research it. It was very valuable to me.LauriYou will want to pick a software that offers auto-digitizing if you do not want to digitize the design yourself from the .png or .jpg. Hatch 3 is my favorite of the bunch for that. However, auto-digitizing has a lot of limitations, and you cannot usually convert complicated .jpg or .png files well. (Basically, auto-digitizing is best for simple designs with a minimal amount of colors.) If you want to digitize anything more complicated, you will need to manually create the design, which any of the listed digitizing software will let you do.I recommend doing the free trials for the software and seeing how the auto-digitizing works for your images before purchasing anything, though. This was most useful. Thank you for the reviews! I outsource logo digitizing but I do fast digitizing of names on old software and old computer that is working past its time. All I need is a few reliable scalable fonts and easy process to put together name a credentials. I got pricey software when buying one of the commercial embroidery machines but the fonts that came with it are low quality and I do not trust additional packs to be any better. It took me a while to learn it too and now I am fed up. The Hatch Personalizer seems like the right fit. Are the fonts good quality? is it fairly quick process to get name done? I appreciate the work you put into this. KatOK This is REALLY old.... I decided to embroidery something for Halloween on my Brother ULT 2001. I went to my Vista PC only to find I couldn't. I haven't used the software in the 3 yeras since I got the new PC. I used a cable and transfered all my embroidery files and programs over. The problem is the dongle won't fit the PC as there is no slot. Is there nothing I can do? I have the box, but it is the same issue, no port. I see online the PE basic would get me a box that connects with USB port. I am willing to buy that, but I can't get the software PE DEsign 4.o to pull up without security device. Now that memory cards are a thing of the past Brother has replaced the card reader/writer with a USB dongle which you will need to have this plugged into a USB port for the program to run on your Windows PC. It's a lot more convenient than the writer box and the dongle also has the installation software on there too, so you don't need to install from a CD! If you still need your card reader/writer your existing one will be updated to work with Version 10.Being able to select your fabric type in the software is a great advantage because the software will adjust the design automatically for optimum results. This helps to eliminate outlines being out of registration and adds undersewing for extra stability where needed. There's also a suggestion for the kind of stabiliser you might use.Expand your creative possibilities and streamline your design work with the new PE-DESIGN 10 Embroidery Design Software. PE-DESIGN 10 truly is the "Perfect 10" of embroidery software, with new and enhanced features for everyone - from the hobbyist to the home business entrepreneur. The new convenient USB-sized security dongle r

Some general thoughts - based on my personal experience (and personal preference - we all have our preferences for all sorts of reasons)

You do not need to use either of the Janome branded embroidery products with a Janome embroidery machine. In fact the only thing you need is a programme that will make embroidery designs into .JEF stitch / machine files (or .JPX if you particularly want the 15,000 format)

Maybe take a step back and be clear about what you really require - ie. what you will actually use your digitising software to do and how frequently.

Perhaps a factor in your decision may be whether you want to mostly use the programme for digitising to create (and edit) embroidery designs (including quilting designs). If yes then it's worth considering the full digitising programmes such as Hatch 2 and Janome Digitizer V5.5.
I have both programmes and my personal recommendation would be to choose Hatch because both the customer and technical and how to support is so much better. Also, bearing in mind the cost of digitizing programmes, I have more confidence in the future of Hatch than in what may or may not be Janome's future intentions for their branded programme. Hatch, Janome Digitizer and the Bernina branded programme are essentially the same programme (with a few differences in features) and are written by the Wilcom Company. Hatch is Wilcom's own version of the programme.

If you're more into embellishment of craft projects and more occasional use of digitising software, then if you particularly want a Janome branded product, then by all means try the Artistic product.
(My personal view - I'm not a fan because I find it awkward, somewhat clunky and generally an older architecture and inferior product. Like all programmes, in time they are upgraded and rewritten. Personally I prefer the style, logic, capability and architecture of the Wilcom products. It's very personal and I find the user interface of the Wilcom products more intuitive.)

Currently the machines I use are a Janome 15000 and a Janome 11000 (and I also do some digitising for a friend who uses 2 different Brother single needle machines and a Brother multi-needle machine).

You do not need to use either of the Janome branded embroidery products with a Janome embroidery machine. In fact the only thing you need is a programme that will make embroidery designs into .JEF stitch / machine files (or .JPX if you particularly want the 15,000 format)

My personal ranking of using the 3 programmes is
1. Hatch 2 (Wilcom)
2. Janome Digitizer 5.5 (Wilcom)
3. Janome Artistic Digitizer (Janome branded version built on a Creative Drawings programme)

Compared with a couple of others - bearing in mind using them mainly for digitising designs, my very personal ranking is
1. Hatch 2 (Excellent full featured programme)
2. Embrilliance (as a Value option)
3. Janome Digitizer 5.5 ( Excellent programme, Like Hatch 2 with additional features of Cutwork & Stumpwork, but Janome does not share what it's plans are for the future of the Wilcom product)
4. Embird (as a Value option)
5. Janome Artistic Digitiser

Cost can be an issue and again if you want to digitise designs rather than just arrange or auto-digitise and edit here and there, then it's well worth considering Embird (main programme + studio) and also Embrilliance Stitch Artist 3. With Embrilliance, you get both Mac and Windows versions and you can also install the programme on as many different computers/Macs that you own.
If you particularly want to use a Mac, then Embrilliance may be an appropriate choice for you as Embird still has to run on Windows.

Each of the digitising programmes available has some very useful features and tools - so choosing which is the best fit for you for depends on what and how you will use it.
It is well worth taking the time to read all 4 pages of contributions about this topic here for pro / con experiences and views .

Please do not feel that you have to use a Janome branded product just because you have a Janome machine, there may be better options for you, your Mac and your Wallet.

OK This is REALLY old....

Thanks Pattiann. That fixes the problem of plugging in my PE-Design box. Do they sell a dongle adapter or will the program recognize the box and not ask for the security dongle? It has been so long since I have tried, I don't remember.

I open my design folder on the hard drive in PE 6 and then send to a flash drive or go to the software for the reader/writer unit and pull up from the same folder and write selected designs to a card for a reader/writer box.

Well I have a new problem. I drug out an old laptop I had. Got the PE-Design Version 2 to install. Then updated it with my Paleete version 4.0. I attached the PE Box card reader, and the Dongle which came with the PE Design 2.0. I was at a show, and they were out of PE Design, so I bought the upgrade in Palette, which they said was the same.

I have a new Vista computer and Pe Design will not work on it, I have Pe-Design 8 and thought it would work, however Pe Design does not work with Vista running on 64. Hope you find someone who can help you.

I hve PE Design 4.0 with a dongle. I've just bought a new computer running Windows 7, 64 bit It has no serial port to plug the dongle in, so I bought a serial - USB adapter. Even with the dongle atttached via the adapter, I still get the message "No security device found". I contacted Brother and their suggestion was that I try shutting down and restarting with the adapter connected - still doesn't work. Very frustrating to have this expensive software that worked so well for years and not be able to use it. I've gone back to using Embird.
