We are aware of the problem, it comes from the data provider (yahoo) that is stuck in the past.

We found an alternative but it needs a few development before being plugged in. Wait & see.

there's an easy solution for that.
forget about crappy yahoo weather.
go to http://www.accuweather.com/en/free-weather-widgets/linked

configure your weather, agree and grab code. copy code.
go to ustart useful widgets - ad html code - allow javascript, paste code, add to your startpage, if elected big size detailed weather, put in a new tab.
thats all, it works.

to make clear you do not depend on build-in widgets, same way works with all kinda stuff. in google search type widget "xyz" html embedded code.
