Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks anymore! ! !

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to
let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they
send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines
thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not
support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops
their
brand of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by
buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I
know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't
mean we don 't support the boys on the ground fighting street -to-street and
house-to-house.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can
discard it and no one will never know.

Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I
deploy once more.

PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS . . ALLOW IT TO BE
PASSED TO ALL IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED SO THAT WE MAY HAVE
THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT! ! !

Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit the fire
fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for
water for
the survivors and workers and Starbucks charged them! ! !

JUST A NOTE TO THIS; STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE
UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS. GO GET 'EM
AMERICA. STAND-UP FOR OURSELVES!

Also
know that Starbucks does NOT support any police or firefighters
anywhere in the nation. Police and Firefighters do not expect discounts
on drinks or food anywhere they go, but usually receive them. Starbucks
says they are no different than anyone else on the street, so why
should they receive a discount. Still like Starbucks?

This story is false, according to investigators on the website www.snopes.com.
The folks who run this website investigate urban legends like this which are widely circulated via email.
It's usually interesting and entertaining to read the "real story behind the story" when you receive such emails, before passing them along.

Hello All,

Also a website called Truth or Fiction (see below) has a story on
it. I have run across this before. A number of men and women at my VFW
post brought this up at a meeting at the same time that my brother (A
vietnam veteran) was working at Starbuck's. I found the same stuff that
Martha found.
So it should be known that if a Two Dollar or more price for a cup
of coffee isn't enough to keep you away from Starbuck's now, don't let this
rumor keep you away. Starbuck's has the same, step on the little guy to
make a profit, business concept as a number of other retailers. I don't
know what it is like where you guys are but in the Chicago area the only
Starbuck's stores that you don't have to wait in line to get a cup of coffee
are in the middle of nowhere.
