USS Odyssey - Main Shuttle Bay
:: Having secured the damaged shuttlecraft, Clifton and the others slowly made their way out of the bay and toward their respective destinations. Fortunately none of them had been injured, just shaken up when the shuttle traversed back through the anomaly (or whatever it was) and brought them back to their own dimension. ::
:: As away missions went this one was surely one of the strangest. First they found themselves in a dimension (?) resembling King Arthur's world and then found themselves in conflict with someone named Morgana. As bad as it was Clifton had agreed to help her take possession of something called a Grail, but before that could happen Morgana's true motives were revealed and so were her lies to him. ::
:: In the end some kind of reversal had taken place and all personnel from Odyssey were able to make it back to the shuttle and travel back the way they came, ending up near Odyssey. Very little time had passed (at least back here in their reality) and within minutes the shuttle had been tractored into the bay. ::
:: One weird item still puzzled Clifton, just before they left the other dimension some kind of power surge had traveled through most every instrument on the shuttle. Given all the distortion it was reasonable to assume it was just some kind of electro-magnetic pulse, but them again it still puzzled him. ::
:: Turning about and heading back tom the shuttle, he saw an Ensign beginning to secure the craft. ::
Ensign: Whoo-wee, looks like you guys saw some action.
Clifton: chuckling : Yeah, we saw some action all right, but have you tracked any energy aboard this shuttle that you can't account for?
Ensign: Like what, sir?
Clifton: I'm not sure, just energy that shouldn't be here.
Ensign: Well sir, Im really not certain what you mean, but I'll tell the maintenance crew to run a diagnostic through every system this shuttle has. We're not about to put her back into service until we're sure that she is one hundred per-cent safe.
Clifton: No, of course you wouldn't. Tell you what Ensign, you get a tricorder and run a thorough scan of this ship before you do anything.
Ensign: Certainly sir, but what am I scanning for?
Clifton: Not sure, Ensign. I Guess just anything there that shouldn't be.
Ensign: Right away, sir.
:: Clifton left the bay and the Ensign headed to another section to retrieve a tricorder. What no one saw while the bay was empty was a red flash of energy travel from the damaged console inside the shuttle, then down the ramp and into a section of the bulkhead.
