V'Lenn / Shuttle bay

  ***  USS Odyssey / Cargo Bay ***

:: V'Lenn entered the cargo bay and walked toward the shuttle which had been used by Captain MacLaren in her recent mission. Although the reports were surprising, that is concerning the world they had visited on their journey, she was now a bit more interested in something odd concerning the shuttlecraft. ::

V'Lenn: Ensign, have you scanned the shuttlecraft?

:: The young Ensign on duty snapped to attention. ::

Ensign: Yes, Ma'am but it really doesn't make much sense.

V'Lenn: What is it that makes no sense?

Ensign: Some systems were burnt out, really fried. I mean it seems as if some energy surge passed through the ship, but I find no traces of where it came from.

V'Lenn: Curious ... very curious.  Could it have been a result of the very unusual circumstances reported in the mission report by Captqain MacLaren?

Ensign: I have no idea, but there is one other oddity.  The onboard computer system was totally erased.

V'Lenn: Erased? Why would the crew do that?

Ensign: I have no idea, but it looks to have maybe been copied first, then deleted.

V'Lenn: Copied? By whom?

Ensign: I can't imagine, but there is certainly nothing left.

V'Lenn: I want you to continue the investigation, this all may be a pointless pursuit but I want to know more before I declare all this a waste of time.
