 *** USS Odyssey - Main Bridge ***

:: Having gotten some sleep and taken a bath and put on a clean uniform, Clifton headed to the bridge in order to check on ship status.  Of course he had already reviewed the bridge reports from the last few days and found little except report after report about the extensive search underway to find the missing shuttlecraft.  He still was uncertain about exactly how they had been taken to the world of Camelot and perhaps they would never really know, but his mission report to Starfleet would contain a recommendation that this area be given a wide berth by all Federation vessels in the future. ::

:: Walking off the turbolift he eyed the entire deck, it was no surprise that things were fairly quiet and all bridge officers seemed to be silently monitoring their various stations. In the chair normally occupied by Captain MacLaren, sat V'Lenn who as ranking officer had assumed temporary command.  The moment she saw Clifton, V'Lenn stood to attention.

V'Lenn:  Relinquishing command, sir.

Clifton: lifting a hand to stop her : Not quite yet, I'm sure the captain will be here as soon as she has gotten some rest and it will be best to transfer command to the Captain herself.

V'Lenn: Taking her seat : Thank you, sir.

:: Judging from the operation reports he had read, V'Lenn had done an excellent job as temporary Commanding Officer and he felt that she deserved just a little more time in the center chair. ::

Communications Officer:  Sir, message coming in from the starship
Wyoming.

V'Lenn: On screen, Ensign.

:: On the main viewscreen appeared the image of a middle-aged woman in a Starfleet uniform bearing the insignia of a captain.

Captain:  Starship Odyssey, this is Captain Anderson of the freighter Wyoming.  I certainly hope you can help us.

:: Fearing that the ship may be in trouble, Clifton stepped forward. ::

Clifton: Yes, Captain.  What is the problem?

Anderson:  We are ferrying supplies to Starbase one-nine-three, but our main energizer has suffered a breakdown.

Clifton:  Is your crew in danger?  We can mount an immediate rescue.

Anderson: No, we are in no danger but repairs will take days.  I was hoping that we could beam our cargo aboard your ship and you could deliver them for us.

Clifton: Anything hazardous?

Anderson:  No, just some medical supplies and spare parts.

Clifton: I'll have to check with the captain, but I'm sure we can help you.
