Can someone tell me why the USPSA, the governing body for Power Soccer
in the United States, can not seem to get team scores up in a timely
manner? It has been three weeks since our last game and we are going
to play again this weekend and still no up date! Does this not matter
to the USPSA, the governing body for Power Soccer in the United
States?

I don’t get why we have to keep on asking to have our scores posted.

Thanks Robert Book

You should not expect an answer here. The USPSA has been pretty clear
that they will not answer any public inquiries from this list.
I do recommend that all teams submit questions to their team rep and
then the rep submits the questions to the league for further
consideration.

Given that the current system has some issues, I propose the
following. The referees after each day/tourney should submit the
scores to the Secretary for their records and a 2nd copy go to the IT
staff to be put on the website. If the coaches signed off, and the
referees signed off, it is official.
If the league then finds that a rostering infraction took place, the
scores can be updated and sanctions can be imposed at a later date.

I have seen the email sent out, explaining the scores to each team. It
is concise and to the best of my knowledge accurate. Waiting on a
snail mail to get to the Secretary, then approval from the league,
then communication to the IT staff then the data entry is often a
month long process. When it works as expected.

I hope that the discussion to follow can result in a change we can all
agree on. With a result that everyone can find suitable, which then
can submitted for a national vote.

Hi all, I sent this to the exec board members and got no reply I am
trying to get our scores in With out having it take 2+ weeks. It would
make more sense to have the IT person on this side verify and input
the scores then send them to the secretary to be filled but as of
right now this has not happened yet or may not. I have offered to buy
the USPSA a new fax machine with paper toner /ink for the year but got
no reply. I even offer HP pc and still got no reply. I do not
understand why chores are not delegated out to other on the IT team. I
tried to help but got ignored {not even a reply back saying that’s ok
we got it} just Trying To make things run faster. Our game was played
5-16-09 the secretary received them on 5-26-09 and as of today 6-1-09
10:14 AM they still are not posted. So much For trying to help.

My question was,,,
I have question about ESS. Can any one tell me what the purpose of the
ESS is for? I was under the impression { see below}If we sent scores
using the ESS you could post and when you got the mail Scores sheets
you could verify at that point. This would speed up the process. The
US mail is to slow with all the technology I can not believe that this
is the best we can do.

Regarding faxing... I let that go last season if more than 4 or 5
score sheets being faxed. It's a lot of paper and not to mention
unclear to read most of the time.

Isn't this reason that every "sanctioned" match submitted to be
recorded by the USPSA should use the Electronic Score Sheet? Paperless
and easy to read.
