The important thing now is Eb1 ... going forward ... the options for this ... the "2nd part" of the test program ...

1st ... a test .... to complete the original program, with the changes they want to do ... IMO ... that could be completed within 2/4 weeks ... now they have re-assessed the well ... and providing they have ... "no" ... problems.

I think all they want to do with this well is get it to flow at ... "commercial" ... rates and be done with it.

2nd ... a longer test that includes "producing and selling the oil as they progress" ... this could take a few months .... however .... option 1 is better so we can get on to Eb2 ...

The reasons I say option 1 is better is because Eb2 could be drilled in 5 weeks +- and we "know" what we need to do to get it 100% right! .... "We have the data"

I ask you ... !!!

Why would we spend lots of money on Eb1 ... at least £30/40k a day ? .... think about it !!!

Eb2 ... will be the "prize" for us ... we've got the "Data" ...... after all thats what Eb1 was all about !!!

For me ... I think like this.

Get Eb1 to flow ASAP (proven) .... Lets get Eb2 started ASAP we have what we want.

Just my thoughts guys ....

Be happy .... I feel sure all will work out fine .... and hopefully soon.

We have lots of oil on "Eb1" ... "BUT" ... we will have ... "MORE" ... on Eb2 ...

Cheers Rigs,

A quick question, if the flow rates were high enough to cover the cost of a continued / extended flow test would it make sense to have EB1 extended testing running alongside a drill on EB2? When I say 'if the flow rates were high enoough' I'm secretly hoping their high enough to cover the cost and put a little extra back in the company coffers.

Thanks again.

Hi Riggs

Realistically, how long would it take to mobilise to start EB2, using a wider bore drill, what size of rig is required, the same as EB1 or one with a few more HP, do we have approval from the BLM for EB2 yet, and if so to what depth. The second drill would need to be larger bore, and larger completion to get the best flow rates, there is obviously the possibility of stimulation of any found producing zones to help flow. What in your opinion is the best way forward for  this second drill. Will be progressed and tested. same as EB1 or are there other methods better suited for what we all hope to be production well.

Best Regards

Jazzy

Good question .... and I don't know the answer .... allot would depend on the consistency of the flow rates.

However if we are producing 600/1200 bopd they will ... like us be delighted and want to move on to Eb2 ... IMO

Jazzy .... IMO .... BM has already talked to these guys about drilling Eb2 ... If you wanted to drill a bigger hole you would need a rig that can handle the extra torque drag and weights ... more HP .... we were at the limits with the rig for drilling Eb1.

I looked at some figures this morning and they could drill a bigger hole to end up with a 7 inch completion if they wanted to go that way .... lots of benefits in doing this ... although they come at a cost $$$ .... I am not sure what way they are testing Eb1 ? ... so hard to answer your question ... but I feel sure they will be using the best method now.

Thanks Rigs,

Looking forward to finding out the flows and which way the board decide to take it next. BM has said that we're just about ready to go with EB2 so it'd be nice to see it progress quickly from EB1 to EB2.

Thanks Again.
