still no reply from mcfish. he hasnt logged in for a while now. I know he has recently moved and started a new job but it doenst take more than 5 minutes to post and assure peeps that its being sorted.

You would think it was an easy thing to ask for to have a public board to chat about a stock you've invested in wouldn't you..

It looks as if usop forum is about to go the same way as iii etc.  I can't believe after all the hassle everyone has had, that when the last google board was closed and a new board setup it would have such an absence of mods and little control.

I mean WTF  .

At least I know Debug is serious about his investment. Who else would go to such lengths to get a twitter live price account setup for everyone?

It is disappointing to find that poor moderation is allowing the opportunity for abuse from all quarters. If Fishy is serious he'll sort it, if he isn't then one has to question why he set it up? I have an open mind but it needs fixing.

I would not give Fishy too much stick, he obviously went to a lot of trouble to set up the board and I think that deserves praise.  

The spam issue is a bit of a nightmare at the moment and I do hope they get it sorted. I think timing is a bit bad due to Fishy's commitments, but I am sure many of us know how things can pan out unexpectedly. I know I have so little time at the moment that its tricky to keep on top of things even when there is nothing going on :D

It just needs a moderator team made up of a few people who are regular visitors who have the power to move spam to a hidden part of the forum.
They don't need full admin priveliges, just that one power.
And then it's problem solved.

Well, not solved, solving it would be stopping them registering to be able to post, but at least it would make the board readable. It's gone to shit at the moment.

Little moderation would be needed if a captcha was used at registration. A very simple and much needed fix tbh.

It does have captcha at reg, I just used a thro away email to try.

I think this is being done as a campaign, remember Moobs/Arty was pretty sophisticated at all this last time.  Do not underestimate the pleasure people get from this.

There is a lot of bitterness or just for fun, but 5 people sitting at a desk all day with IP blocks and old PC's can do a lot of damage with some scripts.

I see it as Moobs just appeared yesterday and joked about the IP ban that it is all a highly amusing joke and people are rising to it, so he will then keep it up with Wexboy on Twitter, perfect, they have just got everybody upset again.

Who is pretty switched on in terms of IT within this group, I know there are some IT types.  I have asked a person close to Fishy to try and get permission for somebody UK based to take control of the issue and potentially do some interesting trace or bot watching if anybody is up for it.  It's far outside my capability.

Do you think FIshy may have been locked out in some way. I seem to remember his Twitter account was hacked before and he also had bother with the usual suspects on ii.

Even if fishy had been locked out he would have posted either using one of the admin accounts or would have posted with a new account to say he has been hacked.
I can't explain why he hasn't logged in. I sincerely hope he ok an is just better.
