`Āina First invites you to an evening presentation about local food and regenerative agriculture: Food Security in the Climate Change Era.
Thursday, March 28, 6pm, Maui Beach Hotel (170 W Kaahumanu Ave, Kahului)
Doors open at 5:30. The event will be held in the main ballroom (300 occupancy)
`Āina First welcomes back Steve Apfelbaum from Applied Ecological Services (AES) for a riveting presentation on the role the Central Valley, (and all of Maui’s farms and ranches,) will play in regards to local food security and climate change.
This free public event is open to everyone who eats, and cares about Maui’s farming and climate future. You are receiving this invitation as you and/or your organization are considered key stakeholders in this vital conversation. It is important that you are there and your work is represented at this event.

`Āina First is committed to:
1. Creating food security through local solutions
2.Establishing regenerative agriculture as Maui’s “best practices” farming
3. Supporting the resurgence of indigenous Hawaiian farming
4. Climate change action: solutions and adaptation strategies for MauiAs the most isolated island chain on Earth, Hawai`i can and must turn around its total dependence on food and fuel imports. We need to start now, while we can leverage our human and ecological resources toward solutions.
This presentation brings together regenerative agriculture through this lens. consensus across a stakeholder coalition about what we want and need for Maui’s agricultural future.
