이제 내일로 다가온 (토요일, 10월22일, 아침 7시30분, 와싱톤중앙장로교회 다목적실에서 개최되는)

제6회 한미국가조찬기도회를 리마인드시켜 드리려고 이메일을 보내드립니다.

 

워싱톤 지역의 평신도운동으로서

특히

교계와 교포를 포함하여 재계/정계/학계등 모든 분야를 대표하는 단체(멤버)들과
함께
연합하여, 합력하여, 합심하여 기도할 수 있게 되기를 소망하며

(이번 제6회 한미국가조찬기도회를) 다시 한번 리마인드시켜 드리오니

여러 대표님들께서는 멤버/회원/학생들께 알려, 참석을 격려하여 주시기를 부탁드립니다.

 

참고로 말씀드리면,

이지역 문화간 갭(Intercultural Gap)을 줄이기 위하여 다문화교회운동을 펼치고 있는

여리고운동(Jericho Movement DC, 은상기 대표목사님)에서 약 35명의 다문화 교역자/성도들이 참여하기로 되어 있습니다.

또 많은 WBS/CBS 졸업생들/입학희망자들 즉 신앙의 미래리더들이 모여서

세대간 갭(Intergenerational Gap)을 줄이게도 될 것이라고 기대하고 있습니다.

 

이렇게 제6회 한미국가조찬기도회를 준비하는 우리는

워싱토니안들에게 주어진 하나님의 뜻(God's Will)이

W.I.L.L.(Washington Impact on Lordship and Leadership)이라고

열방에 영향을 미치는 것이고

세상을 변화시키는 것이라고

꿈꾸고 있습니다.

세계/세상 정치/경제의 수도인 워싱턴에서

특히 코러스축제기간중 쎈터빌데이날

다목적실 기도회장이 차고 넘치도록 모여서

더욱 연합/연결하여 함께 중보 기도할 수 있게 되기를 기대하고, 기도하고, 기다립니다.

 

특히 "북한의 지도자 김정일과 김정은이 거듭나도록"

Again, many thanks to Ms. Sue Wagner, Dr. Ok Cha Soh, Rev. Steve Sangki Eun, and all for your encouragement!

 

As Ms. Wagner pointed out, one of my key roles as the leader of the Washington, DC Fellowship is to provide you with the following two:

(1) direction -- what we want to be/do?

(2) motivation -- what we should be/do for?

 

These two, which are also called the vision, are exactly what Dr. Harton highlighted for us in his keynote address, based on 1 Timothy 2:2-3 (NIV):

(1) requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone -- (in particular) for kings and all those in authority, (so) that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness

(2) this is good, and pleases God our Savior

 

On behalf of the U.S.-Korea National Prayer Breakfast participants, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Harton for providing us with such a concise and precise vision statement (which can easily be elaborated further into the idenity, mission, vision, and core values).

 

Now, I want to add other components of our purpose statement -- strategies and guiding prinicples:

 

"Pray Together"

 

In this regard, I would like to specially thank Rev. Eun and Dr. Soh for reduction of an inter-cultural gap and an inter-generational gap among the participants by bringing in many prayers from different ethnic groups and many future leaders in faith--WBC/CBS (former/future) students respectively.

 

I am sure that all the U.S.-Korea National Prayer Breakfast participants are deeply grateful to Ambassador Han for your special remarks and efforts concerning (a peak in) friendly relations between Korea and the United States.

 

As a matter of fact, we, the Washington, DC Fellowship members and guests, have sought community-building among Washingtonians through the U.S.-Korea National Prayer Breakfast, and will continue to seek friendship, partnership and fellowship among Washingtonian participants to influence/transform the world.

 

Together, We Can!

Many a thank to you for your hard work and your leadership that dmonstrated your loving heart of God.
All people were so coroperative and unity in the Lord.  It was a beauty of diverses.
I would like  to share my thankfulness to many people who supported the prayer event with their prayers, time, talents, skills
and many more....  I pray our Lord is pleased by their hearts and the Lord bless them in special ways in return.
We all believe our labors in the Lord will not be in vain.
