Close Encounter with Wild Ferret

Hi All,
Last night my kids were scared when they heard footsteps in the attic, I suspected it was the ferret I saw running around our area on 2 occasion.
When I open the ceiling cover and confirmed with 2 pair of reflective eyes looking back at me hidden in the corner, saw its tail, then it's face, that looked like a small raccoon. It may look cute, but I think it's beginning to be a nuisance if starts terrify families or causing roof leaks when it tries to squeeze through small gaps on the roof. Anyone else saw it or had close encounter with it?
