Fire Prevention Seminar "Never Trust Fire" for USJ Community

Dear Residents,

Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera,

Referring to the above, I'm Lianna from Fire Preventor Society, want to invite all residents attending a briefing on fire prevention awareness "NEVER TRUST FIRE" as well as some tips according to statistics from the Fire Department.  

As all of u know few days back, one big fire incident happened in USJ area. Four family members were found dead at their home in Jalan SJ 2/3, Subang Jaya due to suffocation as the fire broke out in their double-storey house.

We as a NGO  have been given the responsibility to give awareness to public to avoid this kind of incidents happen again. Our society got training from Bomba and sponsored by government to give this free seminar. Seminar will take approximately 1 hour to be presented by representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). 

The proposed details for the seminar are as follows : *if you have any other date want to propose kindly let me know*

Date	:	any date on February 2017 (preferred is weekend)
Time	:	morning // afternoon // evening // night
Venue	:	Residents area

The purpose of this briefing is to raise public awareness about the dangers of fire, and action steps you need to take if fire case happen. The seminar will take 1 hour and 15 minute only and is totally Free Of Charge. 

Among the agenda : 

1) To create awareness about the dangers of fire

2) 3 Killers - Fire at Home, Vehicles and Office
3) How to escape when fire broke out in a home, office and vehicles

4) Smoke Hazard and How to Handle it
5) Measures to be taken during an emergency

6) Demonstration 9 voltan battery consumption which may lead to a large fire occurred

​7) How to use a fire extinguisher

8) How to prevent short circuit (based on statistic most fire cases happen caused by short circuit)

9) General Knowledge and Case Studies

10) 15 minutes Question & Answer session

NOTE : Based on the press report of Astro Awani dated on 27^th March 2015, Jabatan Bomba Dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) recorded 99,830 emergency calls. In year 2013, total 68,280 emergency calls which increase to 46.2%.

From the total calls in year 2015, 54,540 was FIRE CASES CALL from our nations in Malaysia.
