This is for one of our client opening for Java Developer in Washington, DC. This is a 6+ Months Contract position. The hourly rate is DOE.

Job Description:

This effort is in support of ICD-10 V Reengineering effort project

 

This project requires strong knowledge in Java/J2EE, XML, Web Services and integration technologies that span across ESB and Business Rules Engine. This position requires support for on-going Development, Systems test, Performance test, User Acceptance test, and Production and post-implementation activities.

 

The project will involve broad Java/J2EE technologies.

Tasks:

Perform application life-cycle activities in support of ICD-10 project:

1. Work with the architects and technical leads for additional requirements/changes

2. Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the projects

3. Responsible for conducting code review, unit and integration testing

4. Responsible for supporting on-going Systems test, Performance test, User Acceptance test, production and post-implementation activities

 

Skills V Java/J2EE developer:

This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 8 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 6 years experience with Java and J2EE. Specific requirements include, but not limited to:

Proven strong technical leadership

Experience with software development best practices (RUP, XP, Agile)

Strong hands on experience with UML

Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology

Extensive hands on experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, JMX, JMS, Log4J

Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including Ant, Struts, Spring, XML parser technology, SOA based infrastructure, JUnit and HTTPUnit

Excellent application performance tuning skills

Experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle or MS SQL)

Experience with IBM DataPower XI50 is a big plus
