Role: Senior Data Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite, including Thursdays)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with strong, hands-on expertise in Oracle databases to join our data and analytics team. This role requires deep technical proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and data processing across complex environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in working with large-scale enterprise data systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries in Oracle environments
Analyze and interpret large datasets from OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data systems
Work with data movement and transformation processes, including ETL pipelines and APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems
Support reporting, analytics, and decision-making processes
Monitor and improve database performance, particularly in Exadata environments
Document processes, data flows, and analytical methodologies
Required Skills & Experience
Recent hands-on experience with Oracle databases (mandatory)
4+ years of experience with SQL across OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data platforms
4+ years working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases, including Exadata
4+ years of experience in a highly technical Data Analyst role
Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and performance tuning
Solid understanding of:
ETL processes
Data movement & processing
OLAP systems
API-based data integration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL (stored procedures, packages)
Familiarity with data virtualization tools such as Denodo
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
Exposure to Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, MongoDB)
Knowledge of PostgreSQL or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
