to Google SketchUp Help - Layout (Pro beta)
Is the only way to get "Layout" to download Sketchup Pro version 6,
which I already own? There appears to be no way to down load "Layout"
for Sketchup Pro 6 already paid for and installed.

Have you tried selecting something and then go "File/Send to layout?"

I fou have installed SU 6 Pro, you most probably installed LO, too.
But if you missed it somehow, you can download the installation file
for SU and it includes LO, as well. Just reinstall the application and
you'll have LO - without needing to worry about your settings or
anything in SU.
Just like with a maintenance release. There have been two since SU6
came out and they could be installed without any problem.
