Is there an option somewhere in Layout that allows the user to change
the definition of the final print, like in Sketchup where you can
change to Ultrahigh definition. I notice a huge difference between an
Ultrahigh definition print in Sketchup and the same model printed in
Layout (with no options for print quality). I'd like to use layout to
present several views of a model, but so far haven't figured out a way
to get a print that is actually presentable. I guess I'll stick with
exporting from Sketchup and editing the layout in Photoshop, unless
anyone has any suggestions....

In layout in the sketch-up model dialog box there is a setting at the
bottom called line weights. Reduce it from 1.00 to .25 for some better
definition. Hope that helps.

Besides changing the lineweight to 0.25, go to File>Document
Setup>Paper and change the Rendering Resolution to 300 dpi. This has
worked well for me.
