We plan to add a new set of volunteers (Hospital visitors bringing the Eucharist) on a daily schedule with alternating weeks (Week 1 and Week 2). There will be two times per day as well. Is there an easy way (or any way) to set up service times to assign volunteer hours?

I know this is may not be enough information to properly answer, but please ask for clarification if you have an idea of how this can work. Thanks in advance.

As a follow-up, I think we can do what we need to do by specifying that certain volunteers are not scheduled twice within a two-week period. I see there is a general option that applies to all volunteers, but I'd like to do something like that just for the new volunteers. Is that possible at all? If not, how else can I prevent just the hospital visitors from being automatically scheduled in two consecutive weeks?

Hi Ray,

This is a great question! As you mentioned, there are a lot of factors involved, like if you want volunteers to serve on a rotating basis or use the auto-scheduler to assign them, and how many of these volunteers you also want assigned to weekend services. Luckily, we have a lot of experience with these types of things, so chatting with your account rep or one of our support agents is probably the best bet in getting a firm recommendation for your specific needs!

Feel free to send in an email to us at sup...@rotundasoftware.com, or send in your data files (Help - Send Data Files to Tech Support) so we can get that ball rolling.

...and when you come up with an answer please share.  Sounds like an interesting situation.
