Dear Friends,
I hope your communities had a blessed, beautiful Easter weekend.
Like many of you, we were saddened to hear the news of Pope Francis' passing, and wanted to offer a resource that might be helpful this week — or any time your church gathers to mark a significant moment.
- If you ever need to plan a one-time service or gathering where volunteers are needed, here's a quick article on adding a "one time only" service to an existing schedule.
- For example, at my own parish, the MSP admin just created a one-time service called Mass for Pope Francis on Wednesday, and included the number of each ministry position needed. He used MSP to send an announcement asking for volunteers to sign up. I'll share the message below in case the wording is ever helpful for you.
It was really moving to see how quickly these slots filled up — and so soon after the services of Holy Week. 💚
For the times you're planning a memorial, vigil, or any one-time service, we hope this tool supports you and your volunteers when it's most needed. 🙏
Peace,
Krista
P.S. Here's that announcement for a one-time service this week, as an example. Note: The {{AllAvailablePositions}} token was set just to the date of the special service, and can be fully customized.
