VOLUNTEER POSITIONS FOR SPECIAL SERVICES

Is there a way to remove the qualified restriction to volunteer for a position in a special service?  e.g. our Christmas Eve service has a candle bearer that is not a normal position; so if someone wants to volunteer, it will show up that they are not qualified for this position and that portrays the idea that they should not volunteer.  Let's say a person is only qualified as an usher, but wants to apply this one time to be a candle bearer - that means they have to go back to their profile and click on the qualify?  Is there any way to remove this restriction from special services?

Hi Karen, 

Although volunteers all need to be qualified for the positions they are able to fill, you can add the qualification to everyone quickly in the Volunteers pane:

If you generally do not want everyone to be qualified in this position, you could always create a new ministry/subdivision to cover instances like this where anyone can serve. Just send us your data files (Help - Send Data Files to Tech Support) and we can help you accomplish this!

I am a scheduling Jan/Feb/March.

I have a couple of services that I do not want auto-scheduled.

Can you please remind me how I can include those services in my schedule

while leaving them unfilled and not auto-scheduled?
