how to make a volunteer inactive in one ministry but still active in another?

Hi,

When a volunteer participates in several ministries, how do you make that person inactive in just one ministry, but still active in the others?

Or if looking for a "softer" solution, mark them as a sub.  With this solution, it won't schedule them but if they want to accept an open position they could.  It all depends on what the volunteer needs.

I use the "sub" solution for a number of our volunteers who want to serve but can't predict their schedule, especially during the summer or around holidays. This works well for them because they are able to participate without being committed in advance. Plus this really helps me fill last-minute open positions.

Hi,

I just remove the ministry and make a note in that volunteer's comments section, something like "usher qualified - not serving 7/22/2021". That helps with the remembering part.
