I am having trouble searching for communities that I just added.

I added two communities a team "EAHQ" and a field "EARS - The Great
Lawn" and I can't search for either of these, I was hoping to add the
EARS field to the list of fields for the EAHQ team. I also was not
able to search for a friend daden....@gmail.com which is a user I
just added to manage my community.

I noticed that other users have communities setup and I was able to
successfully join and unjoin them. Do I have to make them public for
others to search for them? I wanted to be able to moderate who gets
added to the list, but I wanted to make the lists searchable so people
can apply to join.

Let me know if this is feasible.
