Call for Volunteers

 

The Advisory Board issues this call for volunteers to participate in a committee to research options for Membership Management and Election/Voting solutions for our Project.

Background

Many years ago, Larry Stephens developed custom applications for USGenWeb to store and manage our membership, send important Project-wide emails when necessary, register for State elections, and conduct the annual election. Each year, Larry performs updates to the Cold Fusion code as needed to keep everything working as expected. Larry and his apps have been a great asset to our project for many years, and we are so grateful for all he has done for USGenWeb to make our life much easier! 

 

Larry now wishes to retire from this responsibility and focus on his health, family, and personal needs. To support his decision, we need to find alternate solutions. Therefore, we seek volunteers to research and present options for the Advisory Board's consideration. 

 

Qualifications

Volunteers need to be able to research and document their findings and work in coordination with other Project members. It is NOT necessary to have a technical background! 

 

It truly takes a village to keep our Project online and propel us into the future.  Please contact any AB rep, or contact me at webm...@cottonhills.com to volunteer by Dec. 13.
