Dear Fellow Graduating Students,

With graduation almost upon us, Grad Committee has compiled a list of all the events coming up with everything you need to know.

1) GRAD FINALE, Friday, April 12 (10:00 AM-6:00 PM) and Saturday, April 13 (10:00 AM-12:00 PM)
Zief Terrace Room

Grad FInale is a drop-in event that should take no more than 20 minutes.
**NOTE: You are required to complete an at-graduation employment survey for OCP/Deans' Office BEFORE picking up your items. You can save time at Grad Finale and fill it out online via USF Law Link (under the "profile" tab) by 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 11 (tomorrow). Otherwise, a paper copy will be available on Friday or Saturday.

At Grad Finale, you will be able to:
(i) Pick up your cap and gown, name card, SEVEN graduation tickets, an invitation to the Alumni Graduates Dinner, and 10 complimentary graduation announcements (with your ID).

(ii) Enter the graduation ticket lottery - If you need extra tickets, signups will be available starting at 10 AM. Grad Committee will provide one ticket per person, going down the list in order of sign-ups. Tickets will be distributed the week of April 22.

(iii) Purchase Grad Party tickets - Each grad will be allowed to purchase up to 2 tickets for Grad Party (see details below). Physical tickets will be distributed at a later date.

(iv) Make your pledge to the Class Gift - Forms will be available to make your pledge to an endowed scholarship for a future 3L. Keep in mind that endowment is one of the factors weighed in the U.S. News rankings.

(v) Purchase diploma frames, class rings, or personalized graduation announcements.

- If you are unable to attend either day, you may send another person in your place with a signed written note (including full name, degree, student ID #, height for gown measurements). Otherwise, you may pick up your cap and gown in the Gleeson LIbrary Atrium at these times:
Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 17, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

2) ALUMNI GRADUATES DINNER, Wednesday, May 15 (6:00 PM-cocktail hour, 7:00 PM-dinner)
InterContinental Hotel San Francisco - 888 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

This event concludes the Centennial year and welcomes the Class of 2013 into the USF Law Alumni Association. This is a more formal dinner with USF alums and faculty, and an opportunity to network with fellow alums. It is FREE for graduating students, $75 for guests and recent alums, and $150 for alumni who graduated more than 3 years ago.
RSVP is required by May 9: http://www.usfca.edu/law/alumgrad/

3) COMMENCEMENT MASS, Thursday, May 16 (3:00 PM)
St. Ignatius Church

This mass is open to all graduating students at USF, including undergrad, etc. No tickets are required to attend.

If you are a graduating student and wish to play an active role in this liturgy, the Associate Director for Liturgy is looking for lectors, Eucharistic ministers, gift bearers and choir members. All faculty and staff are welcome to be part of this liturgy as Eucharistic ministers, and/or choir members.  For more information or to sign up, please contact Paul McWilliams at x5770 or pmcwi...@usfca.edu

4) GRAD PARTY, Thursday, May 16 (8:30 PM-1:30 AM)
Harry Denton's Starlight Room (Top of Sir Francis Drake Hotel)

Grad Party is our chance to celebrate graduation with classmates and friends. Each grad can purchase up to 2 tickets at Grad Finale, and all remaining tickets will be on sale during the last two weeks of school in the Student Blvd. Tickets are $45 each, which covers drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres.

Dress code is cocktail party attire, think Barristers' Ball or slightly less formal. It's an awesome location, and there will be a DJ and photo booth. Check out the venue here: http://www.starlightroomsf.com/

5) COMMENCEMENT, Saturday, May 18 (9:00 AM)
St. Ignatius Church
(A reception will follow immediately in McLaren Conference Center on main campus)

Guest Information: All guests must have a ticket to enter. The doors to the church will open 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis (no reserved seats). For individuals without a ticket, viewing via closed circuit TV will be available in the Pedro Arrupe Room and Cowell Hall rooms 106 and 107.

Arrival: On that day, graduates must arrive with cap and gown and name card (distributed during Grad Finale) by 8:00 AM in the atrium of Gleeson Library. (No guests are allowed in this area.) At 8:10 AM, graduates must assemble in front of Gleeson Library (south side) for the group graduating photo. The class group photo will be available for viewing and purchase after graduation. Graduates will receive pre-ceremonial directions and will line up for the ceremonial procession. You may walk and be seated with friends by taking a place in line either in front of or directly behind them. Leave personal possessions with family and friends. There will be no storage for personal items.

Procession: The procession to St. Ignatius Church starts at 8:50 a.m. Faculty, speakers, and commencement dignitaries/other participants follow the graduating class in the commencement procession into St. Ignatius Church.

Conferral of Degrees: Graduates are called forward to the stage at which time they will present their name card to the marshal stationed at the podium. After your name is announced, proceed to the center of the dais to receive a scroll from University President Father Stephen Privett and Dean Brand. Exit the stage and return to your seat.

Photos: GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via email within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. Graduation Images can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or via email at www.gradimages.com.
