1. USF Law Apparel: SBA will be ordering a second batch of USF Law Apparel (Sweatshirts & Long-Sleeve Shirts) at the end of this week. If you are interested in pre-ordering a sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt, please place your order in the SBA Office by the end of the day on Thursday, March 28, 2013. 3. Dean Search Finalist Town Hall Meeting: James R. Hackney, Jr.

Please join the Dean Search Committee and the Student Bar Association for a Town Hall Meeting with James R. Hackney, Jr. The Town Hall Meetings with the Dean Search Finalists will provide students with an opportunity to meet, interact with and question each of the finalists. At the conclusion of each meeting, students will have an opportunity to complete an evaluation to help inform the final recommendation made by the Search Committee. Food will be provided. 7. The Federalization of Criminal Law

The USF Federalist Society is proud to present Professor John Baker speaking on the topic of The Federalization of Criminal Law. Professor Baker is the Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Catholic University of America Law School and Emeritus Professor of Law, Louisiana State University Law School. He also teaches a number of short-courses on separation of powers with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and serves as a visiting professor of law at Georgetown University.
Baker previously worked as an assistant district attorney in New Orleans and has been a consultant to the U.S Department of Justice, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Separation of Powers, the White House Office of Planning, USIA and USAID.
Baker has presented cases in federal court, including oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court. He served on the American Bar Association Task Force that issued the report, The Federalization of Crime.

8. Battle of the Fulton 5 Soccer Derby
USF v. UC Hastings at Negoesco Field (next to the Koret Center)
1:00 - 3:00 PM
Saturday, March 30th, at 1pm on Negoesco Field, USF is challenging arch-rivals UC Hastings to a full 90 minute 11v11 CO-ED (men and women...particularly women needed) soccer game. ANY USF Law student may participate as a player OR spectator. Entrance to the field is through the Koret Center so please bring your student IDs whether your are playing or getting rowdy to cheer on the home team.
The Requirements to Play:
1) Bring a white shirt
2) Cleats or Running shoes (the field is an artificial surface)
3) Shin guards (recommended but not required because there is no slide tackling)
4) Beat Hastings
