However, will inform you early that your current method of entering
"pjantzen@med" for dial-up access will have to be replaced in the near future
with the fully qualified E-mail address (pjan...@com1.med.usf.edu) at the
first dial-up login prompt...this has been documented for over a year and
strict enforcement of the convention is now necessary. We avoided strict
enforcement (tried to make things easier on everyone), but the addition of so
many new servers and domains has created some lookup problems on this end.
Of course, I guess we could go back to growing apples.....

Many thanks for the insight, but I'm absolutely positive that "r" used to
work - I have a screen-print of a telnet screen showing "r" used in place
of "rlogin", but hey, it ain't like it's _that_ big of a deal, considering
