what's up with the modems?

Am I the only person experiencing problems, or are the modems just
abominable these past two days? Did they get hit by lightning or
something? It takes routinely 10-15 redials to get connected. I am
constantly experiencing hangups...I dial the number, about 5 seconds later
I hear two clicks, and I am disconnected. The modem never even squeals at
me. I have experienced this problem dialing in at any time of day (though
it happens more frequently during the evening...probably due to more
usage) for at least the past two days. I am dialing in the the Tampa
number. I am also being frequently disconnected also. I have changed
nothing on my system. Is it possible I just keep getting the same
"broken" modem all the time? Please, somebody tell me it isn't just me!

I am also having problems connecting. I just noticed the problem today.
Brill seems to be having problems too. Helios seems to be getting thru
thought, so find someone who has a helios account and you might get thru.

I have tried to check the modem usages to findout if modem use might be
down, but that site is indeed DOWN.
