Hi LELSA Members,

As we head into the end of the semester, I'm writing to update you on
a number of labor and employment events on the calendar. Please plan
on attending as many as possible.

--> The Pemberton Lecture on Workplace Justice
Thursday, March 31 at 6pm
at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, 95 Seventh Street
Chai Feldblum from the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will
be speaking on current developments in employment discrimination law.
The Pemberton Lecture is USF's signature event each year for labor and
employment alumni, and presents a great opportunity to mingle with
faculty and professionals in the field. Food will be served.

--> Justice Forum on The Future of Systemic Disparate Treatment Law:
Implications of Wal-Mart v. Dukes
Monday, April 4 at 12pm
in 101 Kendrick Hall
Professor Tristin Green will discuss the Wal-Mart case, the largest
employment discrimination class action ever certified, currently
pending before the US Supreme Court. Full details are available at:

--> Panel on Public Interest and Public Sector Careers in Labor and
Employment Law
Tuesday, April 5 at 5:15pm
in 104 Kendrick Hall
We're inviting professionals working at public interest and public
sector legal agencies to share their experiences. Bring resumes.
Food will be served.

Tuesday, April 12 at 5:15pm
in 104 Kendrick Hall
If you're interested in labor and employment law (even if just a
little bit), please consider joining the LELSA leadership next year.

Saturday, April 16 at 9am
at the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park
Spend the morning with your USF classmates volunteering on gardening
projects in the AIDS Grove. Refreshments will be served.
