Position - Non-Paid Externship for Spring 2011

Time - 15-25 hrs/week

Law Firm - Scott Cole & Associates APC

Location - Oakland (easy BART access, above 19th St. Station)

Open to - 2L & 3Ls (3Ls preferred)

Specialization - Plaintiff-side, class action employment
matters which specifically address: overtime pay, unpaid bonuses and
wages, meal and rest break violations, uniform and expense
reimbursement issues and discrimination. Plaintiff-side false
advertising claims.

Extern Expectations - Externs will be expected to perform the
following types of activities: (1) draft correspondence, complaints,
discovery, memoranda and motions; (2) prepare deposition outlines and
exhibits; (3) conduct legal and investigative research; (4) draft and
obtain class member declarations; (5) participate in team strategy
meetings; (6) attend hearings and depositions; (7) participate in firm
professional and social events; and (8) lend creative input to firm
marketing efforts.
