Hey guys,
Y'all are doing great work. I'm about to take over as president of Triangle Flying Disc Association (TFDA) - though we'll soon be known as Triangle Ultimate - and wanted to put some thoughts down into this forum for y'all to consider as you build your next iteration.
One of our largest areas of potential growth is from sponsors and/or partners, and in order to conduct outreach, we'll need usable data. A few partners that I've spoken with are interested in some fairly simple demographic data, and I'm hoping that y'all could build in an integration in order to help your clients better understand the "who" that is within their leagues / network.
For example, one potential partner that is interested in supporting a corporate league would require us to have employer/company data for each adult participant.
I'd imagine it's fairly simple (note that I didn't say easy) to build a single-sign-on option for UltimateCentral users that could port over that (and other) data to their profiles and/or to the back-end of each of your client's sites.
Imagine this: I come to an UltimateCentral-run league. I can register using LinkedIn (this would be our ideal integration), GoogleID, or Facebook account. I believe that all of these are tied intimately and uniquely to email addresses, so duplication wouldn't be too large of a problem. Then, the application could pull over relevant profile information and auto-populate the user's profile information. On the back end, or in a csv, we could isolate the employers, the positions, and other relevant demographic information (university, degree, previous employers).
And, perhaps it's already been mentioned as well, but if there's a way to do a two-way integratation with e-mail marketing clients (we use iContact, because it's free for us, but I know some use MailChimp or Constant Contact... or don't use anything), that'd be INCREDIBLE.
Thanks! Great to be working with you guys!
