Hey-

I have a multi-part question…

1) is there some obvious way to take our survey questions into some other environment (excel or a pocket calculator or some such…) and work out how to translate our questions more successfully into useful numeric equivalents? I understand that answers will be very subjective, and with relatively small league size, it is easy to skew results… but we certainly have enough historical data that we could conceivably re-maneuver our question matrix/values to get better results… the idea behind a widget might be to build a survey, and then plug 10 or 20 players into it, and see how it works? and then change the values, and see how it changes...

2) either through this group or some other forum, does anyone else want to share their player surveys and talk about hat works well?

3) STICKY SCRUBBING!!!

4) our leagues are all free agent/auto draft- i.e. we assign players to teams, so our experience may be vastly different than everyone else…

thanks

I am hugely in favor of setting up some kind of system of standardizing player surveys across organizations and comparing results.  I actually had this idea recently and was discussing it with Jeremy Kauffman (he likes the idea but, as with most such ideas, it might take a while to implement something).

Ok, so maybe anyone interested in this project can  join in a separate discussion forum. I would be interested, but I also know that our 150 player league will not be nearly as informative as pada or others ( although we do end up with players who go to club and/or college nationals on the same team as absolute beginners, which might be informative..)

Thoughts?

WAFC would share our surveys as well, if there was a way to download them.  I really wish there was a way to see both the text response and the numerical value it was assigned.  We'd like to weight teams based on different categories for different leagues, not just a final player score.
